Yamaha XJ6 get a refresher on the design of the body and other parts. Yamaha XJ6 variants now have a semi fairing and fairing. Yamaha XJ6 was first introduced in Europe in 2009 to replace the Yamaha FZ6.

Yamaha XJ6 using engine capacity of 600 cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, forward-inclined parallel 4-cylinder, 4-valves, DOHC  with 6 speed transmission capable of producing maximum power of 57,0 kW (78 PS) at 10.000 rpm and a maximum torque of 59.7 Nm (6.1 kg-m) at 8.500 rpm.
